While my novels (so far) tend to be classified as Climate Fiction (Cli-Fi), they aren't really "about climate change" in the conventional sense. I write about meaning, suffering, social systems, collapse, compassion, power, and alienation. Our growing climate crisis is the backdrop that exposes those deeper questions.
All are FREE. Enjoy. (Scroll down to access the books)
My stories emerge from a conversation with writers, philosophers, and sociologists who spent their lives wrestling with the same questions that haunt me.
From Orwell, Huxley, and Atwood came a fascination with the ways power shapes human behavior. I'd also put Max Weber in that school of influence, although academically rather than literary. From Durkheim, Marx, Mills, and Fromm came an understanding that personal suffering is often inseparable from social structures and the trajectories of civilizations. From Dostoevsky, Camus, and Becker came an obsession with meaning, morality, and the human response to despair. From Schopenhauer and Benatar came a willingness to examine suffering without flinching. Okay—I still flinch.
Yet my work/play in sociology, psychology, and their marriage in social psychology is not an attempt to defend any particular philosophy. It is an exploration of what happens when ordinary people confront extraordinary circumstances—ecological collapse, social fragmentation, technological control—and are forced to ask whether the world they inherited was ever as solid as it seemed.
If there is a common thread running through my fiction, it is this: an interest in how human beings find compassion, purpose, and connection when the systems around them begin to fail.
Climate change provides the setting. Human beings provide the story.
By the way, I write to soothe my soul and to get out of my head for a while. It's just for fun. I hope you enjoy the exploration too.
Note: All of my books are FREE (because Capitalism is killing everything). So far I have made them available on Wattpad. I welcome other suggestions on where to place them and will put links to various platforms as they become available.
FEEL
In a collapsed world where compassion has become a liability, Dr. Noonie Reyes studies what remains of human connection from behind laboratory glass. The System—an oligarchy ruling through surveillance and state media—has perfected humanity's slow emotional starvation. When a mysterious contagion escapes the lab, Noonie may have found what she's been looking for: the return of empathy.
As the infection spreads, transforming a corporate politician in a public display that shocks the nation, the System's architects realize their control is threatened by something they never anticipated: feeling itself.
Beyond Alpha City's walls lies the Waste—scorched earth, desperate survivors, and truths the System cannot contain. As leaders race to quarantine compassion, Noonie's awakening draws her into the underground movement fighting for humanity's emotional resurrection.
In this haunting debut that echoes Orwell and Atwood, one woman's contamination becomes the entire society's salvation, asking: What remains human in us when we've been engineered to feel nothing at all?

SUICIDE CLUB
You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll want to die.
Aleksi can't believe she's gone. Unwilling to save himself, he sets out to right his wrongs by using his unusual gift to help those who can't help themselves.
Detective Hozier can't believe it's over. He thought he was ready to go—until hope reared its ugly head. Now, he races against time to solve the mysterious deaths plaguing the city by the sea, secure his legacy, and save thousands of lives.
Digger can't believe we've lasted this long. A disillusioned climate activist turned internet star, he and his millions of loyal disciples see the writing on the wall. This is the end. They're going to make it count.
Horrifyingly timely, achingly funny—"Suicide Club" is a cutting, poignant satire that will make you question how you think about your life, your death, and the future of your planet.

WHAT REMAINS (the sequel to SUICIDE CLUB)
We've entered planetary hospice. The question now is not how to save the world, but how to care for what remains.
Months after Mother Earth Day—the global event designed to shock the world into action in the name of mercy—society lumbers on, slowly devouring everything in its path.
As global temperatures surge, the social fabric unravels—family is chosen, prayers go unanswered, and justice remains theater for the rich and powerful. The system we built has destroyed us. Yet the monster lurches on.
In the midst of social and environmental collapse, Detective Annah Madia is drawn to a quiet anomaly beneath a coastal bridge: an encampment of people who have chosen to stay in the world. They do not protest. They do not demand. They care for one another, tend to the abandoned, and refuse to argue with the reality of what's coming.
At its center is Paine, a reluctant figure who helped ignite a movement he never intended to lead. He doesn't believe we can be saved. He believes only that suffering can still be eased—and that someone has to remain behind to do it.
Caught between a world that continues without meaning and a community that has accepted its end, Annah is forced to confront a truth no investigation can resolve: the monster humanity built cannot be dismantled—only obeyed.

OH, POOH, IT'S OVER
This one is a little different. It's a children's book for adults who know what's coming.
I wrote this little book just for you. "Oh, Pooh, It's Over: A Story of our Gentle End" is a sensitive exploration of our existential climate crisis through the eyes and hearts of our little friends in the Hundred Acre Wood.
